Day 1 - 180 km
Aktau city - Zhygylgan canyon - Shakpaktysay canyon, overnight in tents in the canyon
  • In the morning departure from Aktau city.
  • Visit to the grand geological failure Zhygylgan. A visit to Zhygylgan is not just a walk in nature, but also a fascinating journey into the depths of the Earth’s history, where every step along the bottom of the canyon opens new pages of our planet’s past. Here you can see a pile of rock fragments of the most bizarre shapes, which create the impression of a landscape from a fantasy world and traces of primitive horses and saber-toothed cats, which makes this place not only geologically but also paleontologically valuable. After long walks among the stone forest in the Zhygylgan canyon, you will have a rest with swimming in the sea.

Day 2 - 180 km
Canyon Shakpaktysai - exotic stone formations of sedimentary rocks - monuments of the period of the Great Patriotic War - Taushyk village - the territory where coal mines were located - Aktau city.
  • After breakfast, the tour continues.
  • Walk along the amazingly beautiful Shakpaktysai canyon. Like the crests of mythical dragons, white and yellow remnant mountains rise here, whimsically corroded by wind and rain. The Shakpakty-say Canyon is known for its white chalk walls, which create a unique landscape. The age of the canyon is measured in millions of years, and its formation is associated with the erosion by the ancient Caspian Sea.

  • Along the way, you will get acquainted with the territory where coal mines were located, with monuments from the period of the Great Patriotic War and exotic stone formations of sedimentary rocks.
