Day 1 – 200 km.
Aktau city – colored gorge Kokala – Sherkala remnant mountain - chalk canyon Zhylshy – yurt camping “Ethno aul “Kogez”, overnight in a natural yurt.
  • In the morning departure from Aktau.
  • Transfer to Kokala Gorge. Karatau mountain fold or hillock composed of multi-colored clays of the Jurassic period - the natural beauty of ancient history. Walk along the mountain gorge.
  • Mount Sherkala (height 308 meters) - this unique mountain remnant, which arose during the era of land rising from the depths of the sea, stands out with unusual outlines, resembling a giant yurt or sacred pantheons.
  • Next departure to the chalk canyon Zhylshy. Walk along the snow-white chalk canyon, where the two elements Water and Wind fancifully dotted the walls with grottoes, gutters and honeycombs.
  • In the evening, arrival at the cozy and hospitable yurt camping “Ethno aul Kogez”, located in the picturesque mountainous part of Mangistau, where you will have an excursion “Under the arch of the Kazakh yurt”, dinner in a cafe, rest in the park area and an evening by the fire, accommodation in a natural 5-person yurt made of felt.
Day 2 – 200 km.
Ethno village “Kogez” – ascent to the top of Mount Airakty in the Shomanay Valley – Airakty (Valley of Castles) – Aktau city.
  • After breakfast in the ethno village, continuation of the tour.
  • Ascent to the top of Mount Airakty. A winding path along the slope of the residual mountain Airakty leads to an observation deck with a panoramic view of the Shomanay valley surrounded by picturesque residual mountains reminiscent of the ruins of castles. The grandeur, scale and unique color awaken the imagination and cause delight. Walk through the labyrinth located on the top of the mountain.
  • After a fascinating tour, return to the city of Aktau in the evening.
