Day 1.
Aktau city - Bostankum sand dunes - mysterious Masat ata necropolis - Tuyesu sands - Sand cape, night in tents on Caspian Sea coast.
  • In the morning departure from Aktau city.
  • Discover the amazing beauty of the sandy valley of Bostankum. Delightful desert landscapes, sands made of ancient chalk rocks and covered with feather grass, saxaul and zhuzgen, are especially beautiful in late spring and early summer. Enjoy privacy and silence in this unique corner of nature.
  • During the tour, you will visit the necropolis and underground mosque of Masat Ata, an important cultural and historical heritage site of the region, dating back to the 10th-14th centuries. The necropolis includes about 525 monuments, including koytases, stone fences and tombstones with unique symbols and reliefs. Here you will find anthropomorphic steles and stone statues of rams, preserving the spirit of the Middle Ages. Visit the underground mosque carved out of limestone rocks. Its interior resembles a yurt, and the hole in the roof, similar to a shanyrak, lets in light and warmth. The mosque creates a special atmosphere of worship, directing you to Mecca. Do not miss the chance to immerse yourself in the history and mystical legends of Saint Masat-ata, who left his mark on the history of the spread of Islam in Mangistau.
  • Our journey continues with a visit to the unique Tuyesu sands. This sand massif is a natural landmark where you can see various forms of sand dunes. The length of the Tuyesu sands is about 20 kilometers. The Tuyesu dunes attract tourists with opportunities for active recreation, including walks and photo sessions among the majestic dunes.
  • In the late afternoon, arrival at the picturesque Cape Peschaniy, where unforgettable moments await you. Enjoy your vacation at sea, go in for amateur fishing and watch the beautiful sunset. Spend the night in tents on the shore, listening to the soothing sound of the waves and enjoying the stars.
